Combo in the Hills Stock/Super Stock Event to return in 2012 to Numidia Dragway
The long awaited sequel to the successful Combo in the Hills Stock/Super Stock Race will take place on June 8th & 9th at Numidia Dragway in Numidia, Pa. The inaugural event was held on May 5th & 6th, 2011 with Brian Clayton making the long haul down from Canada worth the trip as he defeated Ray Thurston IV in the final.
Promoters Lee Zane & Brian Van Poppel will make a few changes for the 2012 version of the Combo in the Hills 2012. On Friday afternoon Track Owner Bob Dimino & Promoters Zane and Van Poppel will offer a FREE Test & Tune from 12 to 4 for all competitors who are entered for the Combo in the Hills event. Once the Test & Tune is complete for an additional fee of $50.00 Zane & Van Poppel will offer a CIC Event that is open to all Stk/SS classes. The race will use a trigger of .85 under the pre 2011/IHRA indexes as a guide for all racers and the winner at days end could have a nice start to their weekend and a cool $1,000 payday based on how many cars are entered for this event.
On Saturday, June 9th the racing action starts out with the main event the 2nd annual Combo in the Hills Stock / Super Stock shootout at 9am. All drivers will get 2 time shots before eliminations are set to kick off. This entry fee for this event will be $150.00 and based on 100 cars entering Van Poppel & Lee will pay out a cool $4,000 to the winner of this event. Again the payouts are based on 100 entries. If there are more entries we will increase the purse.
On Saturday Night all racers & crew are welcomed to attend a FREE racer BBQ that will be put on by the .90 Nationals group that is also running at the track that weekend. On Sunday, the event wraps up with Numidia Dragway’s weekly Summit Racing Equipment Bracket Race. This event is a $65.00 entry fee with a chance to win over $2,500 as long as there is over 85 Cars entered for this event.
Anyone who wishes to park following the NHRA Supernationals on June 2nd&3rd will be allowed to leave their rigs at the track for the following weekend. On Thursday June 7th the gates will open for parking at 5pm and will remain open till 10pm. Friday the gates will re-open at 8am with the test and tune starting at 12 till 4pm. Gates will remain open till 10pm on Friday. On Saturday, the gates will once again open at 8am with the main event kicking off with 2 time trials at 9:00AM. Tech for the event will be open from 10am till 7pm on Friday June 8th & from 8am till the start of the 2nd qualifying session on Saturday June 9th.

.90 Nationals Set to “Thunder in the Hills” on June 8th & 9th
The long awaited .90 Nationals will finally take place on June 8th & 9th at Numidia Dragway in Numidia, Pa. This event was originally scheduled for August 27th, 2011 but, had to be re-scheduled due to Hurricane Irene barreling up the East Coast and causing flooding situations for most racers and their families at home.
On Friday June 8th Track Owner Bob Dimino & Promoters Rob Keister will offer a FREE Test & Tune from 12 to 4 for all competitors who are entered for the .90 Nationals event. Once the Test & Tune is complete for an additional fee of $75.00 Keister will offer a “Top 32 Shootout” that is open to all .90 competitors that would like to participate. Their will be a total of 3 races held on Friday night, 1 for S/C, 1 for S/G & 1 for S/ST. At night’s end the winner of the “Shootout” will pocket a cool $1,000 and the runner-up will claim $500.
The Inaugural .90 Nationals will kick off Day #2 festivities on Saturday, June 9th at 9am. All drivers will get 2 time shots before eliminations are set to kick off. There is 2 ways to enter for this event. The first option is to pre-enter before May 6th, 2012 at the rate of $170.00. If you would like to enter after May 6th or at the gate the fee is $190.00. The payouts are based off of 85 entries per class (S/C, S/G. S/ST) and the winner will take home $5,000 and the runner-up will take home $2,000 and paybacks will reach all the way back to the 3rd round. It is also available to enter into more then 1 class at the .90 Nationals but, we will not accept double entries & no buybacks will be offered.
Once the dust has cleared and the checks have been handed out all racers & crew are welcomed to attend a FREE racer BBQ that will be put on by Keister and Super Gas Racers George Donhauser & Uncle Buck. On Sunday, the event wraps up with Numidia Dragway’s weekly Summit Racing Equipment Bracket Race. This event is a $65.00 entry fee with a chance to win over $2,500 in Super Pro & $1,500 in Pro as long as there is over 85 Cars entered for this event.

Tech for the event will be open from 10am till 7pm on Friday June 8th & from 8am till the start of the 2nd qualifying session on Saturday June 9th. You must make at least 1 time run to be qualified for 1st round of eliminations.

The 50 team numidia drivers from the bracket finals get $100 each for winning the team championship. This money can be put towards your banquet tickets or you can send a self addressed envelope to 24 DiMino Blvd. Hawley, Pa 18428 to receive your check. |

Numidia Dragway dominated the 2011 Bracket Finals. Led by Tom Harhart's win in street, Jimmy Young's win in pro, Al DiMino's runner-up in super, and Kurt Holland's pro race of champions win, we gained 90 points as a team. Other notables include Mike Barber's semi final finish in pro and 5 of the last 8 pro cars were representing Numidia (Jimmy Young, Mike Barber, Troy Geyer, Sean Steffey, and Kurt Holland). Vince Shrawder and Tommy Zimmerman were late rounders in Super Pro. Vince Isabella was a late rounder in Bike. Wes Siegel made it to the Semis in the super pro race of champions. Numidia also won the Team Spirit award.
